Coffee with a Cop — Bringing Community & Conversation Together

On May 22, Dalby Shoppingworld proudly hosted Coffee with a Cop in the Food Court from 10am – 1pm, and the response from our community was incredible.

More than 80 complimentary coffees and teas were shared throughout the morning, each one sparking a conversation, a smile or a meaningful connection.

Our local police officers were thrilled with the turnout and the warm welcome they received. In fact, the event was such a success that the Dalby Police team is now looking to make Coffee with a Cop a half‑yearly or annual tradition at the centre.

Coffee with a Cop is all about breaking down barriers and creating simple, friendly moments between police and the community they serve.

There were:

No speeches
No agendas
No formalities

Just genuine conversations in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

Shoppers stopped by to ask questions, share concerns, learn more about community safety or simply say hello. Many commented on how approachable and easy‑going the officers were, and how valuable it was to have this kind of open, informal interaction.

As a thank‑you for taking the time to chat, visitors received a complimentary coffee or tea voucher to redeem at participating retailers. Thanks to the generosity of our cafés and the enthusiasm of our shoppers, more than 80 vouchers were handed out during the event.

Every cup represented a conversation — and every conversation helped strengthen the bond between police and the Dalby community.

Community‑building moments like Coffee with a Cop help create a centre that feels welcoming, safe and connected. They:

Create a sense of trust and approachability

�� Celebrating Community Creativity: Dalby Shoppingworld’s Easter Bunny Garden Project

Dalby Shoppingworld is proud to celebrate creativity, colour and community spirit through our Community Easter Bunny Garden Project — a joyful initiative that brought together local schools, kindergartens, daycares and playgroups in a vibrant display of imagination.

This year, we invited local groups to decorate their very own Easter bunny. Each bunny was transformed with personality, colour and creativity, reflecting the unique spirit of the young people who make our community so special.

The finished bunnies were showcased in our garden space beside Wholelife Pharmacy, creating a cheerful Easter display that quickly became a favourite stop for families, shoppers and visitors.

�� When the Garden Bloomed

March 16 – April 6

Across three festive weeks, shoppers were invited to wander through the garden, admire the creativity on display and enjoy a little sparkle of Easter magic. The garden became a place of smiles, photos, proud parents and excited children searching for “their” bunny.

�� Community Voting: Choosing a Favourite

To make the project even more engaging, we invited our community to help choose the Community Favourite Bunny.

Visitors could:

Visit the display beside Wholelife Pharmacy
Choose their favourite bunny, noting the group’s name or logo
Fill out an entry form from the voting barrel
Submit their vote to support their chosen group

To keep things fair and fun, voting was limited to one vote per person — and all voting took place in‑centre.

The group with the most votes received a $200 Visa Gift Card, proudly awarded by Dalby Shoppingworld.

Store Update: BSL Professional Nails

BSL Professional Nails is getting a stunning new fit out!

While their beautiful new salon is being prepared, they will be continuing to offer their services from a temporary location in Dalby Shoppingworld. From June 3rd, you'll find them trading from store 37 on Cunningham Street, right beside the Cafe 63 entrance.Pop in and say hi and treat yourself to a little pampering while they get their new space ready!

Introducing Our Busy Bee Competitions!

Get the kids buzzing with creativity in our upcoming Busy Bee Competitions!

Hosted in our kids activity area, there'll be a brand new themed sheet to enjoy each month. Begining June 2nd, kids can complete a Busy Bees Competition sheet & each week, two random lucky little bees will win a $10 Big W Gift Card!

It's fun, easy and free to enter! Whilst we welcome all ages to enjoy the activity sheet, the competition will be valid for ages 0-15 only.

Over the past 18 months, Dalby Shoppingworld has undergone a remarkable transformation, making it a more inviting modern, and welcoming space for our valued customers. We're always looking for ways to improve your shopping experience, and these upgrades reflect our commitment to providing a fresh and vibrant atmosphere for everyone who walks through our doors.

One of our most noticable changes is our fresh new coats of paint! The updated colour scheme has given the centre a modern and clean feel, enhancing the overall shopping experience. Along with fresh paint, we've installed energy efficient LED lighting, making our spaces brighter, safer, and more inviting - whether you're browsing your favourite stores or enjoying a meal in our dining area.

We know that a great shopping experience starts the moment you arrive, which is why we have begun to update our carpark signage to make navigating easier and more convenient. Whether you're looking for accessible parking, parents with pram bays, the new signage helps you find your way effortlessly.
